Beer Nuts

Thought I would share this recipe for Beer Nuts, every good home bar set-up has a good supply of this tasty treat.


4 1/2 c Raw shelled peanuts
2 c Sugar
1/2 ts Salt
1 c Water
Coarse salt

Bring peanuts, sugar, salt and water to a boil.
Boil until all liquid is absorbed, about 25 to 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 300°.
Spread nuts on a greased jelly roll pan; sprinkle with salt. Bake 20 minutes.
Remove from oven, sprinkle with more salt and bake an additional 20 minutes.
Cool completely.
Store in an airtight container
Enjoy.
